Currently, I’m a traditional dance instructor at a dance company called Sanggar Bougenville Pontianak, located in West Kalimantan. Not only do I teach traditional dances to cute little elementary students, but I also teach mothers! Besides being an instructor, I also dance for performances. I love dancing! Especially traditional dances in Indonesia. Traditional dances are extremely beautiful in their own way. How traditional dancers moves elegantly and tenderly seems to amaze me. This is one of the elements which make Indonesia full of colors and cultures, which brings it to our responsibility as a youth to keep it alive in our hearts. Hold on to our culture, don’t let it go astray. If it’s not us, then who else will do it for our country?
